Recall 25V696000 · manufacturer campaign CR5805

Visibility › Glass, Side/rear — Nova Bus · reported 14 Oct 2025 · 2 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2019-2020 LFS commercial buses. The driver's door windows may have been built with the prime glazing manufacturer DOT code mark missing. As such, these vehicles fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."

The risk

A missing DOT code mark may result in the window being replaced with an incorrect type of glass, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Nova Bus will replace the glass panels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 20, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5805. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 30, 2026.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
