Recall 25V723000 · manufacturer campaign KT2

Power Train › Clutch Assembly › Pedal/hand Lever(motorcycle) — Honda · reported 23 Oct 2025 · 340 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 CB1000SP Hornet SP motorcycles. The pivot bolt on the gearshift pedal may loosen and detach, resulting in the inability to shift gears. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Controls and Displays."

The risk

The inability to shift gears while riding increases the risk of a crash or injury.

The fix

Dealers will replace the pivot bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 1, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KT2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 28, 2025.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
