Recall 25V773000 · manufacturer campaign CR5818
Seat Belts › Front › Anchorage — Nova Bus · reported 10 Nov 2025 · 5 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain 2024-2025 LFS transit buses. The driver's seat belt may be pinched by the partition, preventing seat belt from retract properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."
The risk
A loose seat belt may not adequately restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Nova Bus will adjust the seat base plate, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 12, 2025. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is CR5818. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 9, 2026.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
