Equipment Adaptive/mobility › Wheelchair Restraints/securement › Latch/anchor › — Gillig · reported 16 Dec 2025 · 4 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Gillig, LLC (Gillig) is recalling certain 2025 Low Floor transit buses equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

The risk

An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Gillig will work with Q'Straint to replace the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 16, 2026. Owners may contact Gillig customer service at 1-800-735-1500.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
