Recall 26V007000

Structure › Underride — East · reported 13 Jan 2026 · 769 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

East Trailers, LLC (East Trailers) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Beast and Beast II trailers. An improper weld may fail, causing the rear impact guard to detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 223, "Rear Impact Guards" and 224, "Rear Impact Protection."

The risk

A detached rear impact guard cannot mitigate the impact of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The fix

Dealers will repair the weld joint, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2026. Owners may contact East Trailers' customer service at 1-574-295-7888.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
