Recall 26V032000

Visibility › Glass, Side/rear — Blue Bird · reported 22 Jan 2026 · 432 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Blue Bird Bus Company (Blue Bird) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Vision and All American school buses. The windows may have illegible DOT markings. As such these windows fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."

The risk

A missing DOT code mark may result in the window being replaced with an incorrect type of glass, increasing the risk of a injury.

The fix

Dealers will inspect and repair the glass etching, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 19, 2026. Owners may contact Blue Bird's customer service at 1-478-822-2242.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
