What's wrong

The risk

An inoperative rearview camera can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

The vehicle cockpit unit (VCU) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 16, 2026. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. GM's number for this recall is N252542530. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 12, 2026.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
