Recall 26V170000 · manufacturer campaign CSN-3295
Exterior Lighting — Altec · reported 20 Mar 2026 · 134 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2025 AC Series Crane and DT Series Digger Derrick vehicles. The harness intended to prevent Altec installed lighting from overloading the chassis lighting circuit was not installed, which may result in a loss of power to the body lighting or trailer lights.
The risk
Loss of body lighting or trailer lights increases the risk of a crash.
The fix
Altec will notify owners to inspect their vehicle for the harness. If the harness is missing, a repair kit will be provided, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3295.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
