Equipment › Other › Labels — Utilimaster · reported 24 Apr 2026 · 21 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Aeromaster vehicles. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the certification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

The risk

Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Shyft will install new labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 7, 2026. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 26-03.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
