Recall 26V269000

Structure › Body — Lode King · reported 28 Apr 2026 · 114 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Lode-King Industries, Ltd (Lode-King) is recalling certain 2019-2026 SDG53-3, SDF53-3, and SDF50-3 trailers. The rear impact guard may be missing welds, reducing the guard's structural strength. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 223, "Rear Impact Guards."

The risk

A guard with inadequate strength may not sufficiently protect a following vehicle, increasing the risk of injury during a rear end crash.

The fix

Lode-King will inspect and add welds as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 14, 2026. Owners may contact Lode-King's customer service at 1-204-325-4345 or 1-866-797-0669. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning May 22, 2026.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
