Recall 26V273000 · manufacturer campaign 631 RSB

Equipment › Other › Labels — Newmar · reported 29 Apr 2026 · 32 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes. The Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may state an incorrect weight value. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars.”

The risk

Incorrect weight information can allow the vehicle to be overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix

Dealers will replace the labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2026. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 631 RSB.

Vehicles covered by this recall

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
