Service Brakes, Air › Supply › Quick Release Valve — International · reported 11 May 2026 · 16 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026-2027 HV vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

The risk

A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.

The fix

Dealers will remove the 5/8” air line and replace it with a 3/4” air line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 22, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26506. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 29, 2026.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
