Suspension › Rear › Shock Absorber — Rewaco · reported 16 Sep 2026 · 106 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

The connection between the piston rod and rod end in the rear shock absorbers may loosen, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

The risk

A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash or injury.

The fix

Dealers will replace the rear shock absorbers, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 28, 2026. Owners may contact Rewaco customer service at 239-309-3592. Rewaco's number for this recall is RW-Stossd-2026-01.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
