Recall 26V618000

Trailer Hitches — Atc · reported 25 Sep 2026 · 8 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2024-2026 RM900 and 2026 RM700 trailers. The coupler mounting bolts may loosen, separating the coupler from the trailer.

The risk

A separated trailer coupler can cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

The fix

ATC will install a gusset reinforcement kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440.

Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
