What's wrong

THE INVOLVED VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH IMPROPERLY MANUFACTURED FRONT SPRING U-BOLTS USED TO SECURE THE FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY TO THE SPRING. THE FOUR U-BOLTS MAY EXPERIENCE CRACKS AND COULD ULTIMATELY BREAK. SHOULD TWO U-BOLTS ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BREAK, THE FRONT AXLE WOULD NOT BE RETAINED SECURELY.

The fix

ALL SUSPECT U-BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED BY THE DEALER, FREE OF CHARGE.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MEDIUM TRUCKS AND BUSES.SYSTEM: SUSPENSION; FRONT SPRING U-BOLT.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: THIS FAILURE COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING ANDCOULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
