What's wrong
THESE VEHICLES MAY NOT CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 120, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES OTHER THAN PASSENGER CARS". THE EXISTING CERTIFICATION LABELS SHOW GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT AS 2680 LBS. RATHER THAN 2630 LBS. IF VEHICLE IS LOADED TO THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT STATED ON THE LABEL, OVERLOADING COULD LEAD TO TIRE TREAD SEPARATIONS.
The fix

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CAMPING TRAILERS.SYSTEM: EQUIPMENT; CERTIFICATION LABELS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: CONTINUED OPERATION COULD LEAD TO AIR LOSS, LOSS OFVEHICLE CONTROL, AND AN ACCIDENT.NOTE: THUMPING NOISES FROM THE TIRE OR VEHICLE VIBRATION MAY INDICATE TREADSEPARATION.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
