What's wrong

THE INVOLVED VEHICLES WERE ASSEMBLED WITH FRONT AXLE U-BOLTS WHICH WERE FABRICATED FROM DEFECTIVE RAW MATERIAL AND COULD CRACK. THIS COULD LEAD TO FAILURE OF THE U-BOLTS AND SEPARATION OF THE STEERING AXLE FROM THE TRUCK CHASSIS.

The fix

DEALER WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE U-BOLTS AS FOUND NECESSARY, AT NO COST TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY TRUCK-TRACTORS.SYSTEM: SUSPENSION; FRONT AXLE U-BOLTS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: STEERING AXLE SEPARATION COULD RESULT IN LOSS OFVEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.NOTE: U-BOLTS SHOULD BE INSPECTED AND, IF ANY BROKEN BOLTS ARE DISCOVERED,VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN.
