What's wrong

CERTAIN VEHICLES MAY FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY". IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION FROM THE REAR, THE FUEL FILLER TUBE MAY BE CUT BY CONTACTING THE FRAME REAR CROSSMEMBER.

The fix

THE DEALER WILL INSTALL A PROTECTIVE SLEEVE OVER THE EXISTING FUEL FILLER TUBE AT NO COST TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES.SYSTEM: FUEL; FUEL FILLER TUBE.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: RESULTING FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF A SOURCE OFIGNITION, COULD CAUSE A FIRE AND PERSONAL INJURY TO PASSENGERS.
