What's wrong

A FORGING DEFECT IS PRESENT IN THE DANA SEMI TRAILER KING PIN WHICH CAUSES IT TO FAIL. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: KING PIN FAILURE COULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING WHICH COULD LEAD TO A CRASH.

The fix

REPLACE THE FRONT SUBFRAME WHICH INCLUDES THE KING PIN.

SYSTEM: KING PIN BEARING NUMBERS W6 27333 OR W6 27233.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: VAN OR FLATBED COMMERCIAL SEMITRAILERS WITH GVWR FROM20,000 TO 70,000LBS.
