Wheels › Hubcap/cover — Auto Graphics · reported 25 Jul 1986 · 71 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

WHEELS MAY HAVE BEEN FITTED TO THE TRUCK HUBS WITHOUT THE REQUIRED ADAPTOR PLATES CAUSING THE WHEEL TO REMAIN LOOSE ON THE HUB. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: A LOOSE WHEEL COULD CAUSE VIBRATION AND DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL AND COULD RESULT IN THE WHEEL SEPARATING FROM THE VEHICLE WHICH MAY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.

The fix

INSTALL ADAPTORS AND PROPERLY TORQUE WHEEL ATTACHMENTS. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE WHEEL.

SYSTEM: WHEELS. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PICKUP TRUCKS WITH SPECIAL 16.0 X 7.0 ALUMINUM WHEELS SOLD AS THE JOHN RIGGINS SIGNATURE SERIES.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
