What's wrong

HAND THROTTLE CONTROLS WERE NOT IDENTIFIED EITHER ON THE CONTROL KNOB OR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 101. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: TRUCKS ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH FMVSS 101, CONTROLS AND DISPLAYS.

The fix

WORD THROTTLE WILL BE AFFIXED ON OR ADJACENT TO THE THROTTLE CONTROL.

SYSTEM: HAND THROTTLE CONTROL IDENTIFICATION/FMVSS 101. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCK TYPE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH FLEET INSTRUCTIONS PANELS AND OPTIONAL VERNIER HAND THROTTLE CONTROLS.
