CONSOLE FRONT COMPARTMENT DOOR MAY NOT REMAIN CLOSED DURING LOAD FORCES THAT MAY BE EXPERIENCED IN A CRASH AS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 201.

VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 201, OCCUPANTPROTECTION IN INTERIOR IMPACTS.

The fix

INSTALL THREE (3) SMALL FOAM PADS ON THE CONSOLE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING.

SYSTEM: CONSOLE FRONT DOOR RETENTION/FMVSS 201.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER CARS.
