Service Brakes, Hydraulic › Foundation Components › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Itasca, Winnebago · reported 1 May 1989 · 9 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

REAR AXLE BRAKE TUBE FLARE WAS INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED, A SINGLE FLARE TYPE INSTEAD OF A DOUBLE FLARE TYPE WAS USED.

The risk

THE SINGLE FLARE MAY FAIL AFTER EXTENDED USE; THISFAILURE WOULD CAUSE THE REAR AXLE BRAKES TO BECOME INOPERATIVE, INCREASING STOPPING DISTANCE WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

The fix

THE DOUBLE FLARE TUBE WILL BE INSTALLED TO REPLACE THE SINGLE FLARE TUBE.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
