What's wrong

A CRACK MAY DEVELOP IN THE REAR END CARRIER ARMS THAT ARE THE LOAD CARRYING MEMBERS ATTACHING THE TWO SECTIONS OF THE ARTICULATED BUS.

The fix

INSTALL REINFORCEMENT BRACKETS TO PREVENT CRACKING OF THE CARRIER ARMS.

SYSTEM: REAR CARRIER ARMS.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: ARTICULATED BUSES.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: SUCH CRACKS COULD EVENTUALLY PROGRESS TO POINT WHERECARRIER ARMS WOULD BREAK. IF BREAK DOES OCCUR, THE REAR SECTION WOULD HAVE NODIRECTIONAL CONTROL WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
