What's wrong

STEERING COLUMNS CONTAIN AN INCORRECT AND POSSIBLY UNDER TORQUED COUPLING TO STEERING COLUMN CLAMPING BOLT.

The risk

LOW TORQUE ON CLAMPING BOLT COULD RESULT IN SEPARATION OF COUPLING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN OR WEAR ON THE SPLINES AND COULD CAUSE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL WITH POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT.

The fix

INSTALL GRADE EIGHT FASTENERS WITH PROPERLY TORQUED NUTS.

SYSTEM: STEERING COLUMN COUPLING.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS WITH ADJUSTABLE STEERING COLUMNS.
