Seats › Front Assembly › Recliner — Audi · reported 10 Apr 1990 · 600 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

A SECURING CLIP ON THE OUTSIDE OF HINGES OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT SEAT BACK MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SEATED DUE TO INTERFERENCE WITH SEAT COVERING MATERIAL.

The risk

AN IMPROPERLY SECURED CLIP COULD CAUSE THE SEAT BACKHINGE TO SEPARATE FROM ITS ANCHOR IN A REAR-END ACCIDENT AND COULD RESULT IN AN INJURY TO OCCUPANT(S).

The fix

REALIGN SEAT COVERING MATERIAL WHERE INTERFERENCE IS PRESENT.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
