Recall 90V073000

Service Brakes, Hydraulic › Foundation Components › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Bentley, Rolls-royce · reported 12 Apr 1990 · 1,785 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

THERE IS INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE CALIPER HYDRAULIC LINE AND THE ENGINE OIL COOLER LINE. IF THE LINES COME IN CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER, THE CHAFING MAY DAMAGE THE BRAKE LINE AND CAUSE A FLUID LEAK.

The risk

HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAK COULD RESULT IN A LOSS OF BRAKES WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT.

The fix

ADD A PROTECTIVE SHIELD TO PREVENT CONTACT AND REPLACE ANY DAMAGED HYDRAULIC PIPE.

SYSTEM: HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PIPE.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER CARS.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
