What's wrong

THE INBOARD CLINCH NUT IN CAB SILL, WHERE THE BUCKLE FOR THE SHOULDER AND LAP BELT IS MOUNTED, PULLED OUT OF THE SILL DURING THE TESTS. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: IF SEAT BELT ANCHIRAGE FAILS, THE SEAT OCCUPANT FACES AN INCREASED RISK OF INJURY IN AN ACCIDENT OR SUDDEN STOP.
The fix
RELOCATE THE INBOARD SEAT BELT MOUNTING FROM TOP OF THE SILL TO THE FORWARD FLANGE OF THE SILL ON THE CAB FLOOR, AND ADD A 3MM FILLET WELD AROUND THE 2 INBOARD CLINCH NUTS.
SYSTEM: SAFETY BELT ANCHORAGES; FMVSS 210.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY TRUCKS.
Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
