What's wrong

THE STEERING GEAR INTERMEDIATE SHAFT CLAMPS USED TO RETAIN THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT TO THE STEERING GEAR SHAFT AND THE COLUMN SHAFT CAN BECOME LOOSE BECAUSE OF INCORRECT BOLT SIZE AND CLAMP FORCE.

The risk

The fix

REPLACE THE PINCH BOLTS IN THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT ASSEMBLY WITH 7/16" BOLTS. TORQUE BOLTS 63 TO 75 FOOT POUNDS.

SYSTEM: STEERING, COLUMN.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: COMMERCIAL TRUCKS.
