Recall 94V002000
Service Brakes, Air › Supply › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Peterbilt · reported 5 Oct 1994 · 200 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
A SERVICE BRAKE HOSE AND A SPRING BRAKE HOSE ARE NOT OF SUFFICIENT LENGTHS WHICH COULD CAUSE ONE OR BOTH HOSES TO SEPARATE FROM THE END FITTINGS DURING FULL ARTICULATION.
The risk
IF THE BRAKE HOSE FAILS, IT WILL RESULT IN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE. IF THE SPRING BRAKE HOSE FAILS, THE SPRING BRAKE WILL ENGAGE AND THE TRUCK WILL COME TO A SUDDEN STOP.
The fix
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THESE VEHICLES FOR HOSE LENGTHS AND ANY OUT OF SPECIFICATION HOSES WILL BE REPLACED.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
