Recall 95V039000

Exterior Lighting — International Harvester · reported 27 Feb 1995 · 762 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

THE CLEARANCE LAMPS FLUSH MOUNTED IN THE CAB DO NOT MEET THE PHOTOMETRIC REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT," AND THE REQUIRED LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE MARKER/REFLEX REFLECTORS ARE MISSING.

The risk

CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THE VEHICLES DO NOT HAVE SIDE MARKER LAMPS AS REQUIRED FOR BETTER VEHICLE VISIBILITY AND INCREASES THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE CRASH.

The fix

DEALERS WILL INSTALL A COMBINATION SIDE MARKER LAMP/REFLEX REFLECTOR ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAB IN PLACE OF THE CURRENT SIDE REFLEX REFLECTOR.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
