Recall 95V045002

Trailer Hitches — Myco · reported 1 Mar 1995 · 63 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

THE WELDS USED TO HOLD THE MAIN FOLDING HINGE TO THE SIDE FRAME MEMBERS WERE OMITTED OR TEMPORARY TACK WELDS RATHER THAN COMPLETE WELDS WERE USED.

The risk

THE REAR HINGE CAN SEPARATE FROM THE REAR FRAME CAUSING THE FRAME TO CONTACT THE ROAD SURFACE WHILE THE TRAILER IS TOWED AND CARRYING A MOTORCYCLE.

The fix

DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE WELD AND, IF NOT FULLY WELDED, IT WILL BE CLEANED, PREPARED, CORRECTLY WELDED, AND REPAINTED.

Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
