What's wrong

THE WELDED JOINTS CONNECTING THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER MUFFLER AND THE EXHAUST PIPE WAS INFERIOR. THE WELD CAN CRACK UNDER NORMAL OPERATION.

The risk

THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE EMISSION GAS LEAKAGE AND POSSIBLY COULD RESULT IN THE MUFFLER ASSEMBLY FALLING ONTO THE ROADWAY AND CAUSING A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT.

The fix

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE MUFFLER ASSEMBLY.

SYSTEM: EXHAUST; CATALYTIC CONVERTER SYSTEM.VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS 3 TRUCKS, GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING FROM 11,600TO 13,500 LBS.
