Recall 95V235000
Visibility › Windshield Wiper/washer — Flxible · reported 14 Dec 1995 · 741 vehicles potentially affected
What's wrong
THESE BUSES HAVE THE HEADLIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATED WHENEVER THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE ACTIVATED. NO OTHER EXTERIOR LIGHTS ARE ACTIVATED BY WINDSHIELD WIPER ACTIVATION. THIS DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT."
The risk
CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: THIS COULD CAUSE A VISIBILITY PROBLEM INCREASING THE POTENTIAL FOR A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.
The fix
DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE ELECTRICAL WIRING TO ACTIVATE ALL EXTERIOR LIGHTS WHENEVER THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE ACTIVATED.

Vehicles covered by this recall
Whether a particular car is affected and still unrepaired depends on its VIN — a model year being listed does not mean every car of that year is included. Check any VIN free on CarLogs, or at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
Is this car's recall fixed?
Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
