What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: DUMP TRAILERS. A HOLLOW DRAW BAR PIN WAS USED INSTEAD OF A SOLID DRAW BAR PIN.

The fix

DEALERS WILL INSPECT EACH TRAILER TO DETERMINE IF THE PIN IS HOLLOW OR SOLID. HOLLOW BAR PINS WILL BE REPLACED WITH SOLID PINS.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN APRIL 2, 1998.OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR TRAILERS TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT EAST MANUFACTURING AT 1-330-325-9921.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
