Fuel System, Other › Delivery › Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings — Georgie Boy · reported 7 Dec 1998 · 100 vehicles potentially affected

What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES BUILT WITH KITCHEN SLIDE-OUTS. A FLEXIBLE LIQUID PROPANE (LP) GAS LINE WITHIN THE SLIDE-OUT CAN LEAK UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS; E.G., WHEN EXPOSED TO HEAT FOR PROLONGED PERIODS OF TIME FROM THE STOVE.

The risk

LEAKING LP GAS COULD RESULT IN A FIRE AND EXPLOSION.

The fix

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FLEXIBLE LP GAS LINE WITH A COPPER LINE WITHIN THE SLIDE-OUT.

OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN JANUARY 8, 1999. Is this car's recall fixed?

Recall repairs are free at any franchised dealer, for the life of the vehicle. A CarLogs report shows the recall status for a specific VIN as reported by the manufacturer — whether it's open or repaired, and whether the fix is available yet.
