What's wrong

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: FOLD DOWN TRAILERS WHICH USE GAS/ELECTRIC ABSORPTION REFRIGERATORS SUPPLIED BY NORCOLD. THE SWIVEL NUT WHICH IS AN INTEGRAL CONNECTION COMPONENT OF A PRESSURE TAP DEVICE HAS "STRESS CORROSION CRACKING."

The risk

THIS CRACKING CAN LEAD TO AN OPEN FRACTURE IN THE BRASS NUT, POTENTIALLY ALLOWING PROPANE GAS TO LEAK.

The fix

DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE SWIVEL NUT/PRESSURE TAP COMPONENT AND REPLACE WITH A REMEDY KIT.

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT JAYCO AT 1-877-825-4872 OR NORCOLD AT 1-937-497-3080.ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION'S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
