VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. SOME ALUMINUM CASTINGS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF THE VEHICLE FRAME MAY HAVE MISSED THE REQUIRED HEAT TREATMENT OPERATION RESULTING IN SOFT FRAME CASTINGS.
The risk
SOME OF THESE FRAMES COULD FRACTURE UNDER VEHICLE OPERATING CONDITIONS, RESULTING IN LOSS OF VEHICLE HANDLING OR VEHICLE CONTROL.
The fix
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THESE VEHICLES.

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-992-1997.
